Switch

Switch is a young people’s drug and alcohol service in Dudley. We are a free and confidential service here to support young people with any choices they wish to make about their substance use. Switch appreciates that stopping can be hard so the friendly team will meet young people in places that are suitable for them to set goals that are realistic and achievable.
We also offer support to parents or carers of young people who use substances. We recognise that parents and carers can have the greatest impact on influencing and changing drug or alcohol use. Therefore we would like to engage them at switch by offering time and space to meet staff, volunteers and other parents. If you would like further information or discuss any concerns with the team call 01384 241440 or email switchdudley@cranstoun.org.uk.

You’ll have an assessment and agree some goals with your worker. You’ll then start to have regular 1:1 sessions with your worker. It doesn’t have to be at the service, we can meet you at home, at school, or college - somewhere where you feel most comfortable. We can also meet you out of hours.

Depending on what support you need, we can help with things like jobs & career support, sexual health tests and info, quitting smoking, general health check ups and chilled out classes like art, music, craft and cooking.

How long will my contact with the service last?

It will depend on how much support you need and will include follow-up support to should you want it.
