Overview

One Voice is run for and by disabled people,
and has lots of information for disabled people, friends, family, carers, colleagues,
and anyone else who wants to know about issues affecting disabled people’s lives.

What we do

We are an organisation run by disabled people, offering help advice and support to  disabled people and their friends and families, as well as offering information, training, consultation and partnership working to other organisations on issues to do with disabled citizen’s lives.One Voice is run in line with the social model of disability – we believe that people like us have impairments, what disables us is an inaccessible environment or disabling attitudes.The work of One Voice falls into 3 broad categories:

Services to Individuals

including counselling, advocacy, representation, advice and information, workshops, creative activities

Services to Disabled People's Groups

including training, talks, access work, disability network, creative workshops, events.

Services to local organisations

including training, talks, access work, disability network, creative workshops, events.

Where we do it

One Voice has been a presence in Wolverhampton for over 20 years.We are based in Regent House, opposite the Central Baths.We have contracts with Wolverhampton city Council to fund some of our work, as well as contracts and funding from others
