The Princes Trust TEAM Programme

Added: 14 March 2019

Our next Princes Trust team programme starts on the 1st April 2019 at Acocks Green police station and we need referrals please.

The Princes Trust Team programme is a 12 week programme aimed at getting 16-25 year olds back into education, training or employment. We help people from all backgrounds no matter how big or small the issues in your life have been. We will help with confidence, team building, social skills, English, Maths and communication amongst other skills.

The course involves teambuilding games, a 4 day residential where you will enjoy a number of outdoor activities and bond as a team. There will be fundraising for a community project which will consist of the team helping out a person or organisation in the local community who are a not for profit organisation. The team then complete a two week project for them consisting of things such as garden makeovers, decorating, DIY, nursery/school mud kitchens or play areas. Team members will gain two weeks work experience in a place of their choice along with a week of careers advice, CV building and mock interviews. Team members will then complete two weeks of team challenges where they will help people in the community that are in different circumstance than them and have fun and support other community members. The course will finish with a presentation evening with friends, family and businesses seeing the achievements each person has made.

The successful team members will gain nationally recognised level 1 qualifications in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills and there are opportunities to gain additional BTEC level one qualifications.
